Barwani GIS is a digital system that facilitates the collection, storage, management, and analysis of geographic and administrative data at the district level, utilizing Geographic Information System (GIS) technology. As part of an initiative by the Government of India and the Government of Madhya Pradesh, this system is being employed for the planning, monitoring, and effective management of development activities within the state. The Barwani GIS platform provides integrated access to various types of spatial information—such as road networks, drinking water supply systems, sewer lines, land use data, government assets, schools, hospitals, and other public infrastructure—all consolidated onto a single digital map platform.
